Grind & Shine is an epoxy flooring company serving the Winston-Salem and Kernersville, North Carolina area. The owner wanted a logo that reflected the strength and craftsmanship of their work while capturing a retro inspired aesthetic.

 

The final design centers around a bold circular badge, giving the mark a timeless, stamp-like quality that works well across vehicles, apparel, and job site signage. A custom script logotype brings energy and personality to the brand, while the diamond icon subtly reinforces the “shine” in the company name, symbolizing durability, precision, and a polished finish.

Textured elements and geometric shapes within the badge reference the layered process of grinding and finishing epoxy floors, creating a visual connection to the craft itself. The result is a mark that feels hardworking, memorable, and built to stand the test of time.
